Calamigos Ranch Wedding in Malibu, CA

Yvette and Carlos’ Calamigos Ranch Wedding was off the hook!

Carlos and Yvette spent time and energy into planning every detail of their Calamigos Ranch wedding. They had these gorgeous mirror top tables, alternating high and low giant centerpieces, candles everywhere, and a 20 person bridal squad! I mean, you already knew they were loved by just taking one look at their enormous bridal party. And we all know being a bridesmaid and maid of honor can be tough work, but these ladies pampered their bride, their friend, all day and were happy to do so. Yvette is a lucky lady to be supported by so many great women in her life.

This wedding and reception was held at the Oak Room (reception venue), and the ceremony was right on the terrace outside of the Oak Room, in front of the cascading waterfall, adorned with chandeliers and hanging twinkle lights. The reception was held inside of the Oak Room, amidst a huge oak tree, with alternating high and low centerpieces, tons of candles, and all on top of a gorgeous full length mirror table top pieces. It was great! Oh, and their dance floor was white!

Here is a sneak peek of their gorgeous wedding in Malibu. I was honored to be their wedding photographer and am so grateful for the incredible team of vendors we had supporting one another!

All the women involved in this Calamigos Ranch wedding were just exquisite. The little flower girls as well. I love when flower girls are enamored by a gorgeous wedding gown.

The Old Hollywood glam that Yvette embraces is just lovely. She chose a dark red matted lip

Badgley Mischka does it again, like always…look at those shoes.

Carlos getting ready with his youngest stepson. So precious how he loved being included with the “men.”

groomsmen always love a good “grown-up” beverage to charge the day with.

Yvette’s oldest son was so sweet and enchanting. He protects his mom and holds himself to a high regard for her. It’s just so refreshing and so precious to see (especially to me, as a mom of boys!)

These draping oak trees, and the ever flowing windows help curate the most gorgeous lighting and backdrops for our brides and grooms at Calamigos Ranch.

Nothing better than a bunch of bridesmaids all with different gowns. Different textures, different sleeves, different colors! It adds such a diverse amount of color and texture. So becoming, so beautiful.

One of my most FAVORITE parts of photographing a wedding is capturing the authenticity, the emotions, and the feelings. Look how lovely Carlos’ reaction is when he first gazes at his beautiful bride, Yvette.

One of the perks of having a wedding ceremony at The Oak Room, at Calamigos Ranch, is this incredible display of water! It’s a ginormous waterfall, adorned with chandeliers and drop lights alike! Its magical.

The light that shines through the fall colored leaves in the garden provides a rainbow of colors.

The Oak Room, in all it’s glory designed and decorated by the lovely team at Petals and Linens.

I have never seen a wedding cake quite like this one! It was cut in half from top to bottom, split open like a V and then FILLED with these gorgeous flowers. And then it’s all placed on top of a clear glass base box which is also filled with flowers. and of course a pin light above to place emphasis on the cake in such a gorgeous setting. So stunning!

Have you ever considered a wedding amidst an Oak Tree? Like, IN an Oak tree? This specific venue at Calamigos Ranch, allows your reception to enfold beneath the blanket of a giant oak tree. The actual venue is built with the Oak Tree in the middle.

Here is a wide shot of the Oak Room where this reception was held. See the draping across the top, and the floor to ceiling windows? Dreamy isn’t it?

The mirror tabletops were such a glamorous and light filling effect to this reception setting. The mirrors were so lovely. Along with the gold beading lining the chargers, everything was so fresh and garden like.

Yvette wanted a black and white style options for her photos, along with the film photos. Here is a sample of her glamorous and vintage appeal for her wedding day.

One of the must-do’s when having your wedding at Calamigos Ranch, is making sure you take a moment at night, when it’s dark, to take some super fun shots lit with all the lights dangling and intertwined all throughout the venue!

Hi there

Growing up in a family where music and arts outrivaled most other things. It was only natural to have passion, authenticity and love overflowing in my bloodstream. And what better way to express myself than through the lens of a camera?! I have the incredible honor of drawing out the love story in all of my clients. Helping share their most memorable day in the most authentic way possible.  Now that my husband and I own a10 acre plot of land in the forest, I have found an even greater love for all things beautiful, natural and blooming. I look forward to having our paths cross in the near future, and hope to help you tell your most unique and love story - the story of you and your lover. The story of how it all began. The story that you get to tell your grandkids one day, through the photos I took of you on your wedding day. I hope to help you tell your re-tell your love story again and again.
