Summer Evening Mini Sessions

Our mini sessions are $150 and include:

• a welcome email with everything you need to know to get ready for your session
• a pre-session questionnaire to ensure we capture the perfect portrait for your family!
• a 20 minute outdoor mini session for 1-3 siblings or 1 couple/senior/maternity (with one outfit only).
• a scheduled rain date the following week.
• post-session custom image preparation with attention to each image by our team of editors. All images presented in your gallery are fully edited to Jodi’s artistic vision.
• an online password-protected gallery of 8-10 fully edited images to share with family and friends approximately 2-3 weeks after your session
• a group blog preview for online image sharing at the time of your gallery posting (approximately 2-3 weeks after your session)
• custom design work by our graphic design team to turn the portraits you love into artwork for your home
• our standard $100 minimum investment is waived!
• a disc of 8-10 images for your keepsake

Location

Mini sessions will be held at Huntington Beach Central Park in Huntington Beach, CA. Directions to the exact location will be provided in your welcome email.

Dates

Spring Evening Mini Sessions are available starting Wednesday, March 7th. Mini sessions will run every-other Wednesday until May 30th, with the rain date being held the following Wednesday if it rains on your scheduled date.

Before you book

Restrictions:

Outdoor Mini Sessions are available for maternity, senior, baby, engagement, small family or sibling portraits. Mini Sessions may not be booked for cake smash, multiple outfit changes, non-siblings, boudoir, or newborn/young infants. In our experience, babies under 6 months of age have more successful portrait sessions in the studio where we have a greater variety of props for posing babies who cannot yet hold their head up. Outdoor Mini Sessions may not be booked for babies under 4 months of age and we strongly recommend waiting until baby can sit up unassisted for our outdoor sessions of any kind.

Outdoor Mini Sessions may not be booked as a gift. Like all of our sessions, mini sessions must be booked by the parents of children being photographed.

Rescheduling:

Unlike our traditional studio sessions (which we limit to 1-2 per day), our mini sessions are booked back-to-back so that we are able to offer them to you at a discounted rate. If you arrive late for your session, unfortunately that time will be lost from your sitting. Missed sessions are non-refundable. If you must reschedule your session due to an unforeseen circumstance, please allow 48 hours notice and your $75 session fee may be credited towards one of our full priced sessions at a later date. IF there are upcoming mini-session dates available, you may be able to transfer your date. There is absolutely no guarantee that there will be mini-session dates available at the time you reschedule so we strongly discourage booking unless you are certain you can make your appointment.

Rain Dates

The rain date for your outdoor mini session will be the following Wednesday at the same time as your original appointment. Please be sure that you are able to make both your scheduled date AND rain date before booking. If two consecutive Wednesdays rain, we will move the session into the studio on the second Wednesday.

After you book

Within one week of booking your mini session you will receive a welcome email with everything you need to know to get ready for your session including:

• Directions to our session location at Huntington Central Park
• What to wear guide
• How to prepare for your session
• Our full product and pricing guide in PDF format
• Our After Your Session Guide

Within two weeks of your booking you will receive a mailing from us that includes

• A Portrait Agreement for you to fill out and return
• A copy of our current price list for your records
• A questionnaire for you to fill out and return so that we are able to get to know your family a little better!
