Newborn Photography Home Studio Setup
Okay, so here is a shot of my in-home studio set up! I get questions all the time from starting photographers and or mom-ographers, asking how to set up their drops, and how I do my magic…SO, naturally I thought I’d give you all a peek into the world of Jodi B Photography’s newborn sessions!
Now before I show you the pictures, be sure to take note that this isn’t fully set up (I decided to take this picture at the end of a newborn session, and had already packed up most of my things…so I threw the drop on the posing bag and started to snap a few shots!). It’s very simple and basic and exactly how I like to work. It allows me the lighting I love, the space I need and the comfort for my clients to allow for nursing breaks, snack breaks, diaper changing and even older siblings to play in the play area.
Before each session I plan out the color schemes and the outfits and accessories so I have them on-hand and ready to go. I will also bring a handful of extra outfits and showcase ALL the bows and hats so mom and dad can browse through them and choose other cute ones that they love as well! I typically diffuse the light through my sliding window with sheer fabric, but this shot isn’t. Anyhow, feel free to post your questions and I will be happy to share some more information!
