Roy and Christine’s Los Angeles Engagement Session was so refreshing. I think I get the best clients, hands down. Every time.
I mean, I show up for this Los Angeles Engagement session, in Culver City, and they are dressed to the nine. They were giddy and pretty nervous all at the same time, but ever so ready to have some fun. One of the many things that was so fun during this engagement shoot, was their sense for adventure! We got to shoot all around downtown Culver City, including the Culver Hotel. The Culver has so many different textures and wall papers, it is incredibly artsy, moody, bright, colorful and just amazing! It’s a pretty penny to shoot there, but oh so worth it.
I want to give a tip to my future brides, for their engagement shoots.
Engagement Session Tip!
Be ready to have fun, and don’t be afraid to dress up, and also get a little dirty. What i mean by that is, don’t be afraid to climb up on a wall, sit on public stair case, whatever it may be. When you’re ready and willing to be adventurous, it allows for so many great opportunities to get some fantastic engagement (and wedding) photos.
Roy and Christine are getting married this July, at the Villa in San Juan Capistrano, with some of my favorite planners, Rachel and Michelle of Joy N Company! If you’re looking for an incredible wedding planner in Orange County or Los Angeles, please consider this duo. Their team is phenomenal. They bring out the best in every couple and they go the extra mile every time!
Below are some of my favorites of our Los Angeles Engagement Session. We scoured the streets and just enjoyed our time together.

Also, the Culver Hotel! I know, right? I told you it’s to die for! I would love to shoot an actual wedding at The Culver Hotel too! Anyone interested?

I mean seriously…aren’t these guys just the cutest?! I love the crinkly nose laughs and squint-y eye smiles! Those are always my favorite types of laughs. They’re just so real and authentic.

Is there a description necessary here? This Los Angeles Engagement Session just wreaks of fun and humor. And lovely brick walls!

The Culver Hotel is also known, along with most of Culver City, to contain many remnants of the original The Wizard of Oz Movie, as that movie was first filmed there!

Los Angeles is known for the textures, architecture, abstract art and color. Pretty cool to have some cactus mixed in with the down town theme.

Here we enjoyed the lounge of the Culver Hotel. The colors here are so fun to play with and make pop!

This is The Culver Hotel. Check out that dreamy light with that insanely gorgeous window…and the black and white wall paper! Swoon, right?
